The Clubhouse

The Crum Elbow Sportsmen's Association was organized in 1938 and incorporated in 1940. Its clubhouse and grounds are located along Cardinal Road in the Town of Hyde Park (Directions). The building consists of two stories with a large kitchen and social area on the bottom floor.

The upper floor of the clubhouse consists of a meeting room with hardwood floors. The walls are decorated with numerous game animals and a big fireplace on the end. Access to the trap/skeet fields directly off the back of the building makes it a comfortable place to socialize during winter shooting months. The club house can also be rented. See rental guidelines

 MEETINGS
Club meetings are held at 7PM on the fourth Thursday of each month with the exception of November & December, when they are held on the third Thursday. Board meetings are held at 6PM a week before the regular meetings. Generally well attended, each meeting is followed by a dinner hosted by the membership. Meetings run for about an hour and are conducted by the elected board. Old business, new business, and each committee are covered as part of the regular meeting.

SKEET/TRAP

One of the most popular activities at the club is skeet and trap shooting. Located directly off the back of the clubhouse, the field has a trap house centered between one set of skeet houses. The fields are open 7 days for members and their guest(s). See Skeet/Trap Field Rules.

POND

The trout pond is stocked by the members and is available to members fishing only. Located adjacent to the club, the pond is within easy walking distance from the parking lot. See
pond policy.

RIFLE RANGE

Crum Elbow's rifle range has a maximum shooting distance of 100 yards. It also serves as the archery range which is situated perpendicular to, and behind the benches so that both rifle/pistol and archery shooting can take place at the same time. The range is fenced in and for members only. Range Rules

The covered benches provide opportunities for member to shoot during any weather conditions.

Indian Lake Camp
Crum Elbow Sportsmen's Association also has an Adirondack camp located at Indian Lake. It is available to all members for a small daily fee.
